Today, we honor the life and legacy of one of the significant figures of the civil rights movement, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Fifty years after his assassination, we are still fighting for racial, religious, gender, sexual, and cultural equality. So many communities are fighting for their civil rights. As we honor him today, ask yourself, what would King do?
Are you part of the problem or part of the solution? Today, tomorrow, and each day hereafter, do one thing to make this country and this world a better place for all…not just your community. Vote, talk to your elected officials, read, listen, hear all perspectives, volunteer, donate, mentor, and teach our next generation. Be the change you want to see.
